Lights, Camera... ACTION!

Hi everyone!

In my last post, I told you about Storyboard proccess to creating a video Project. Today I am going to show you our video Project.

As I said in my last post, the first thing we have to do it was a storyboard
When you have an organizated project and everything is ready it is time to record the scenes.

To record our scenes, We had to do it in a Green background (Chroma) to be able to edit videos after  their recording. Also, you can use a Green Wall (you can made it with Green cards). The recording was carried out with a camera, you can use a mobile phone, Tablet or whatever electronic instruments(it is not neccesary profesional cameras).

Following the script of our storyboard, we recorded the video one by one.

After recorded, we have to edite the video. It is the most complicated because you have to choose a right program that let you make a wonderful video.

To edit our videos, we used iMovie tool because it is very easy to use. Once the video is recorded, you have to aad your recorded videos to the program and insert images, sounds or other effects you want to use it. It is important that pictures and souns must to be free of Copyrighy. The only problem I can find in this tool is that it is just for Apple, so you just can use it if you have an Apple dispositive.

Other tools you can use to edit your video are:

When the video is ready, you can use it in class with your students.

Now, I am going to show you an example of Project we carried out in class. The topic of the video is The Roman Empire in Hispania. It has been developed with the objetive that students of 4th Grade of Primary Education learnt about this content in Social Sciences. Our students must know how to identify the cultural legacy that romans left us in Spain like bridges, aqueducts or roads, the language such as Latin, Roman Laws, and ReligiĆ³n. Also, through this Project students are going to develop their comprehension skills and thinking skills.

I hope you enjoyed the video!

See you in my next post!
